FAQs

Do you require any testing?

Not at all! Testing is an option not a requirement.

Can I bring test results to be interpreted?

Yes, absolutely! I find it very helpful if you bring me test results to aid in the development of your treatment plan. Naturopaths tend to have a slightly different interpretation of certain test results to doctors, so it can be helpful to look at them through another lens.

Do you offer testing services?

Yes, your Wellness practitioner have access to order a range of tests including blood tests, DUTCH tests, blood spot tests, saliva tests and more. We do not initially require any testing and very rarely need testing at all to develop a treatment plan for you. However, it is an option if you would like it.

What supplements do you use?

Wellness practitioners work with practitioner-only supplements to ensure therapeutic grade quality and an evidence-driven approach. These cannot be accessed without a naturopath's prescription.

How often do I need to have an appointment?

In the initial stages of your treatment, weekly to fortnightly appointments allow us to measure your progress and tweak treatment accordingly. This ensures the greatest chances of success. ‍ You start with an initial consultation, then 1-2 weeks later I will present your treatment plan, and 2-3 weeks after this we check in to ensure that the treatment is going well. From there, either fortnightly or monthly appointments are all that's required to keep progressing.

What is included in my treatment plan?

Our practitioners work with nutrition, supplementation and herbal medicine - a treatment plan can and often does include a combination of these. We do not over-prescribe supplements to ensure that the treatment is attainable and sustainable.

Can naturopathy replace my general practitioner?

No, naturopathy and herbal medicine are both modalities that work alongside western medicine. I am not a medical professional and cannot replace your physician. I work alongside your GP to find the best solution for your long-term health.

How do I pay for my appointments and prescriptions?

We ask for upfront payment for your initial appointment. For subsequent appointments or prescriptions you can save your card details on your account so we can automatically charge it if there is a payment to be made. Alternatively we can send you a payment link to your email.

What are your clinic hours?

Each practitioner offers differs hours. We try to offer a range of times and days throughout the week to accomodate for different schedules.

Do you also offer in-person appointments?

We are based in Queenstown and both of our Queenstown-based practitioners, Tessa Hemingway & Zoe Summers offer in-person appointments for Queenstown locals.

Does a virtual appointment change the treatment?

Not at all! The only difference is we talk via a screen, instead of sitting across from one another. Naturopathy is a non-physical treatment, therefore we are able to bring you high quality care 100% online.

How much do supplements cost?

All supplements are different prices so it will depend on what you are prescribed how much it will cost. There is always options around what is being prescribed to you. It is important to us that you are able to comfortably afford your treatment, therefore you can communicate that to your practitioner and they will modulate your plan accordingly.

How much do appointments cost?

An initial appointment is $185 - this includes a comprehensive intake, initial consultation and the development of your treatment plan. Each follow-up appointment is $75. Herbal formulas and supplements are seperate.

How do I book an appointment?

Book yourself in on the appointments page or your practitioners page.
